Terra Liquid Minerals

TLM provide a fully serviced liquid mineral injection system including all Magnesium, Minerals and Vitamins required for your dairy herd

The simplest and most effective method of feeding vitamins and minerals to dairy cows is via the water system. All lactating cows will consume high volumes of water. TLM electronic control units have been specifically designed to overcome variations in water consumption (I.E. Wet Days). This ensures that cows receive the required dose of daily minerals.

The basis of this system is a programmable controller, which stores data such as the herd size and mineral requirements. The controller is then connected to a water meter, which monitors how much water is being consumed allowing the controller to increase or decrease the concentrations of both the Magnesium Chloride and/or the Minerals.

Features

  • Fully automated
  • Electronically controlled to compensate for wet days
  • Managed and monitored by TLM staff
  • Liquid format
  • Tailor made products
  • Adjust cow numbers for optimum performance

Benefits of liquid Trace Elements, Mineral and Vitamins in diet

  • Cost efficient
  • Increased herd health
  • No loss or waste
  • Reduced farm labour input
  • Increased absorbency
  • Only feed what the cow requires
  • Increased fertility
  • Optimal milk production
  • Improved somatic cell score
  • Reduced mortality rates
  • Reduced mastitis
  • Reduced retained placenta

Meeting the mineral and vitamin needs of dairy cattle is crucial to achieving high levels of milk production and maintaining cow health and reproductive performance.

Liquid Benefits

Lactating cows find liquid much easier to absorb within the body. Studies have shown that minerals in water can be almost 100% available, whereas minerals in the feed are often found to be significantly less available to the body for absorption.

Knowledge

Our TLM team combined with veterinary advise and farmer knowledge ensures that the TLM system only feeds what is required. We do not feed minerals that are not required.
